This class is a basic look at the elements of crime against seniors, the likelihood of events affecting us, what seniors can do to lessen the chance they will be chosen as victims of cyber crime or street crime, and what we can reasonably expect to do given physical or other limitations.

Our classroom focus is developing a sense of awareness and the proper mindset to successfully avoid or survive when violence is forced upon us. The last two hours are spent “on the mat” learning to physically defend yourself against the most common attacks. This class is for all individuals ages 14+

This is the 8-hour course requirement for Maryland Wear and Carry Permit Renewal. You must attend all 8 hours to complete the training and fulfill the training requirement. We will be in the classroom for the first 4 hours and begin on the range for the start of the second 4 hours.
Completing this course satisfies the 8 hours of required training.

Learn the basics of less-lethal weapons to include why they are “LESS” and not “NON” Lethal, their application, capabilities, and other information pertinent to the decision to carry one or more of them. We will look at a variety of weapons and demo projectile launchers (e.g, Byrna Guns) you can carry that do not require a permit.
